It DOES WORK. I was a bit scared at first, but I've successfully upgraded to 1.5 and gone back to 1.0 with no problems whatsoever. Now I can have the comfortable 1.0 firmware without two folders per app AND 1.5 when I just want to play some backups.

I tried this today, since I wanted to play my tales of eternia umd (crashes with devhook on a 1.0). Went to 1.5 and back to 1.0. This is great!!!

やってみた。
手順はttp://red.ribbon.to/~pspemu/の通り。
バックアップで生成されたSceNand.bin(32MB)とSceNand.sbin(1MB)をupdateフォルダに入れて
1.50のアップデートを普通に実行→1.50にした後、付属のリストアツールで1.00に書き戻し。

結果、成功。
戻した後1.00対応のエミュ動かしてみたが、まったく問題なく動いた。
本体表示も1.00。再び1.50にしようとしてるが、たぶん問題なかろう。

これで1.00のままアップデートしなかった組も普通に1.50対応の物を動かすことが出来るし
手軽に1.00に戻すことが出来る。1.00の特権は徐々に薄れてきてるが、かなりウマーじゃね？

Ok, i went ahaid and did it
Backed up 1.00, Flashed 1.50 and then Restored 1.00.
Everything went just fine, as expected.
Now I'm back on 1.50 because I can deal with the homebrew taking longer to load and at long last MPHFL and all the iso loader work!!

My only problem now is making the damn browser work on emulated 2.50 and find out which iso loader is the best (since there's a trillion of'em out there, it's gonna be tough :/)

Thanks again 0okm, I can now choose whatever I want on my PSP: 1.00, 1.50 or 2.00. IT TOTALLY RULES
