Success SoftDown FW2.50 TA-082 to FW1.00/1.50

Had found a method SoftDown TA-082's FW2.50 PSP to FW1.00/1.50
But the method is quite complex, SoftDown a TA-082's PSP need about 45min

1. Use software Read Data From TA-082's NandFlash & DDR DRam
2. Analyzes the Data than make a "FW1.00/1.50 NandFlash img" that can Boot on TA-082
3. Use software Write that "FW1.00/1.50 NandFlash img" to TA-082

maybe late i will make a software to let "FW2.50 TA-082" user to dump "NandFlash & DDR DRam" data to me
than i can make the "FW1.00/1.50 NandFlash img" to help them SoftDown their TA-082 :P

NOTE :
1. each TA-082 PSP need different "NandFlash img"
CAN'T use this "NandFlash img" to OTHER PSP
That will Bricked the PSP !!
so SoftDown each TA-082 PSP DATA need each 45min !!

2. if your FW2.60 TA-082 PSP is Update from FW2.50
this method can work for your PSP

3. this method not work for Factory FW2.60 TA-082 PSP
 maybe later it can :P

My psp is a ta-082 with the original 2.5 FW. If you decide to make the software to dump the "NandFlash & DDR DRam", i would be happy to help.
Thanks for all your great work with the ta-082's and the psp in general. ;)

if your TA-082 PSP is FW2.60(update from fw2.50)
it can work for your PSP

>> bigdaddie
it takes time(45min) for me to Analyzes the data
so it does matter :P

Great news!

Question, the 45 mins of analyzing. I would expect this to be done only once and then just copy it for every ta-82/2.5 user? Or does every mb have a different nandflash id and crc or something? Just curious to why you need to redo the analyzing for every ta-82 downgrade.
Also you state that 2.6 will probably not work yet. Is this because of a probable different nandflash image on these boards?

Excuse me Ookm, but I have a 2.6 PSP that i bought used from Gamestop. It's near-impossible to find out if it was originally a 2.5 that was upgraded to 2.6. Theorhetically speaking, if I send you the data from my NandFlash & DDR DRam, would you be able to tell if it was originally a 2.5 or a 2.6?

Thanks!

Ookm, you totally rock.

Your efford can be felt by everyone (the downgraded / not downgraded alike). Keep up the good work, and continue the magic.

I am one of the lucky (early) one that do not have the TA-082 board and downgraded from 2.6 firmware already, just want to let you know how much I appricate your work.

I guess that the solution for 2.60'ers whit TA-082 will be to upgrade to 2.70-2.80, and then use the new TIFF exploit to downgrade to 2.50 for then to use this.

Too the guy saying downgrader for 2.71 or 2.8 using tiff. That is a fake! There is no 2.71 or 2.8 downgrader. If you refer to the french video where a devhooked 1.5 is running 2.71 emulated. Is then reset and updated to 2.0 you should learn french, he even says at the and that it's fake in french :)

45 mins for analyzing system...then softdown TA-082 to FW1.5.It sounds you've MODIFIED original FW1.5 to adapt to TA-082 motherboard.Am I right?
So in my opinion,if we can use the kenel mode on FW1.5 TA-082 without any additional hardware support,it is possible for us to use kenel mode on TA-082 of any ver..All we should do is just hack the files of kenel mode protection and upgrade it.Can you find the part of protection in FW 2.5/2.6?
P.S. I appreciate your work very much.

hey guys, I have a TA-82 2.60
( updated from original 2.50) , who can help me to downgrade ? it's already months I've been waiting.

Since there is a new exploit, with kernel mode on 2.71, if one has a 2.71 and it was originaly a 2.5 will the downgrader work.

I'm curious, i bought an asian version psp, its white, the owner of the store is not sure if whats its factory firmware. What confuses me is the board is a TA-082 and it is already firmware 1.5, is that even possible? The psps are shipped from china i think then here to the philippines.. Are there any underground TA-082 downgrader or something? Maybe they used your idea Ookm, good job anyway.. tnx..

Is there any possible ways to unbrick my TA-082 psp? My bro was one 'smarty-pants' and tried to downgrade my psp into < 2.5 firmware, and now i have a brick. Man...i've been saving so much $ for my own psp and now its ruined...:(. Anyone have any ideas at all? When i 1st bought it, it has 2.5 firmware version.

HELP. I FEEL LIKE THE $ HAS GONE DOWN THE DRAIN JUST LIKE THAT...not to mention I'm just only a poor student, barely have enough money to even support myself :( :(

At 9/13/2006 11:33:00 pm, Blogger mygodess said...

How long should we wait to get the method to downgrade the TA-082 m/b to 1.5 ? We can just do nothing but waiting until you post something :). Could you just post about the progress or reply about the question?
I know it takes long time to make the source code because I'm a software engineer also. (I made a software named "Text viewer PSP (Korean version)" and posted it.) But even it takes long time, we could just know the progress I think. (like just 1%-2% though :|)
If you need some kinds of help then I could help some of the part also. I hope you could finish your great work soon :). seeya.
